SUSTAINABILITY

Net Zero

Our commitment to reducing environmental impact while delivering high-quality mobile eye care.

NHS Tender Requirement

In accordance with NHS England procurement guidance and Procurement Policy Note (PPN) 06/21, suppliers with NHS contracts above relevant thresholds are required to publish a Net Zero commitment on their website. This page sets out I Care Service Provider Ltd's commitment and ongoing sustainability actions.

Suppliers are also encouraged to complete the NHS England Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment annually to support continuous improvement.

Our Commitment

I Care Service Provider Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 for scopes 1 and 2, with continued reduction activity across scope 3 sources where practical. This commitment reflects our intention to measure, manage, and reduce emissions associated with service delivery, including business travel, energy use, and procurement activities.

What This Means in Practice

Our mobile care model involves travel to patient locations and use of portable clinical equipment. Our Net Zero approach focuses on reducing emissions from travel, lowering energy use where possible, reducing waste, and making more sustainable purchasing choices.

Current Actions

  • Optimizing appointment routes to reduce avoidable travel mileage.
  • Increasing digital documentation to reduce paper and printing requirements.
  • Reviewing suppliers and materials with sustainability considerations in mind.
  • Monitoring progress annually and updating this page as our plan develops.
